Clyde Judo Club is supported by a Parents Committee. The committee organises the social aspects of life around the club and fund raising for social events and club trips. The Parents Committee also also assists with some administrative tasks in order to free up the time of the coaches for coaching.

Everyone is welcome to attend our regular meetings and to speak out. Don’t worry that you’ll be forced to join the committee!

The club usually runs a few fundraising events each year to provide a Christmas party for the children, support club trips and other purposes that will benefit the children such as equipment and kit purchase.

We will occasionally ask for help with events like supermarket bag packs but even then it should only take a few hours of your time. We also run events that combine team building with fundraising such as quiz nights and the ever popular ceilidh nights.

In 2010, the committee  supported the club trip to the Venrey Judo competition in the Netherlands and organised the Christmas party for the children.

2011’s big fundraising project is the purchase of new Judo mats for the club.

Donations of time, money or fundraising suggestions are always welcome
