The 2019 Midland Area Age-band Championships were held at the Walsall Campus, Walsall on 26/10/2019.

A small team from Clyde attended and brought home great results in one of the toughest age band competitions:

• Christopher Howe Pre-cadet U55kg – Silver
• Fraser Clark Pre-cadet U66kg – Gold
• Joseph Peden Cadet U55kg – 7th
• Rebecca Bradley Cadet U57kg – 5th
• Matthew Sweeney Cadet U60kg – 5th
• David Sommerville – Cadet U73kg – Bronze

The 2019 Scottish Open was held at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on 19/01/2019.

The club’s results were:

• Katelyn Cox – Junior U57kg – 5th
• Connor Wilson – Junior U66kg – 7th
• Caroline Brayson – Senior U63kg – 7th

These are good results in a very large and competitive setting.

There were other wins but unfortunately not enough to manage a placing in the very large pools.
