The Granite City Open 2018 Grand Prix competition was held on 23/06/2018 at Aberdeen Sports Village.
Excellent results all round and a lot of hard work on display on the mat:
Well done everyone!
Owing to the number of players and coaches away at Tulliallan or working at the European Judo Veterans competition this weekend there will be no Judo at Bishopton on Friday 15/06/2018.
Apologies for the short notice.
The 2018 European Veteran Championships are being held at the Emirates Arena over 14-17 June 2018 and you don’t want to miss out on the chance to see some top-class Judo.
This is a major European event with something like 1200 competitors attending across the usual individual categories and a team event on the Sunday.
This competition is a major showcase for British Judo and, more parochially, a number of parents from the club will be competing and it will be great if we could get as many people as possible along to cheer the action.
Day tickets are £5 for adults and £2 for U16 – great value for a day of sporting action!
The action will generally start at 0930 with the finals being held at 1600 on each day except the Sunday (1430).
This is the BJA trailer for the championships:
Definitive information can be found on the BJA 2018 European Veteran Championships page .
Some excellent results from major competitions over the weekend!
The 2018 Northern Area Per-Cadet & Cadet Open was held at Gateshead Leisure Centre on 9 June 2018:
Further afield, we had some judoka travelling with Judo Scotland to the 2018 International Judo Tournament for Boys and Girls held in Differdange, Luxembourg on 9 June 2018:
Well done!
