2017 Youth Commonwealth Games – results

The Judo competition is over in the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games and the Scotland team captured 4 medals – 1 Gold, 2 Silvers and a Bronze.

Emily Ritchie took Gold in the O70kg category.

Fiona Todman took Silver in the U48kg category.

Emma Forest took Silver in the U57kg category.

And our own Louis Saez took Bronze in the U90kg category.

Connor Wilson made his way to the quarter final; lost that and then, unfortunately, was injured out of his repĂȘchage match.

Ryan Quigley made his way to the Bronze final, just losing out on a medal.

Amazing results – 4 medals out of 6 entries and at this level of competition. A great start to Team Scotland’s campaign.

A “really well done” for all of you!

Two Clyde Judo judoka have been selected to the Junior & Senior squad for the period July to December 2017:

This is a great accolade for the athletes and coaches – it has involved a lot of hard work to reach this stage and shows a commitment for the future hard work that will be involved in being part of the squad.
