All packed for Japan!

Rachel Towle is heading off to Japan for a 10 day training camp from 20-30 October 2016.

A young woman with luggage and ready to leave via the house door.

All packed!

Rachel is travelling with 10 other Cadets and 4 coaches from across the Home Nations. They will be based in Tokyo and will spend time at the Kodokan Judo Institute and Tokai University where they will have private technical sessions with former Olympic champion Kosei Inoue and former World champion Hidetoshi Nakanishi. The camp is part of the GB Futures programme organised between British Judo and the four Home Nations.

Rachel’s selection for the training camp is a reflection of her performance in the Cadet Ippon League. The league emphasises technical skills over competition wins at the Cadet and Pre-Cadet level and is part of GB Cadet Strategy (which is part of the overall British Judo World Class Performance Programme).

This will be an amazing experience for Rachel and she travels as a national representative. What she learns on the trip will come back to the club so that all our judoka will benefit.

Heading off!

Good luck and have a great time!
