Many people from across Scottish and British Judo volunteered and worked very hard to make last weekend’s Glasgow European Open Championship 2013 a great success.
As one of the lucky spectators, I can say that we owe all of them (and Judo Scotland and the BJA) a debt for putting on an excellent top-flight competition.
A number of Judoka from Clyde Judo were busy assisting:
Player Chaperones
- Marcus Ray
- Benedict Ray
- Erin Peden
- Rachel Towle
- Eleanor MacLennan-Patton

Tam Brown of Judo Scotland stated,
“Everyone did yourselves and JudoScotland proud. We have had nothing but excellent comments from the BJA and the EJU and of course all the spectators who made the competition a great success.”
I’m sure we can all agree on that!
Some pictures of our Judoka working at the competition (the Ray brothers seem to be something of a lucky charm for British Gold medals!)
