Pictures from “Meet an Olympian” at Ravenscraig on 24/11/2012

Judo Scotland organised an excellent series of events around Scotland under the title of “Meet an Olympian”.

A party of Judoka from Clyde Judo Club went along to the event at Ravenscraig on Saturday 24th November 2012.

Sarah Clark, Sam Ingram and Euan Burton held a three hour session for Judoka from clubs all over the West of Scotland.

The event made a real difference to the children that attended. Quite simply, they had a great time doing Judo and came home enthused and eager to try new techniques.

Our thanks go to Euan, Sarah, Sam and the on-mat helpers for giving so generously and ably of their time.

We took a few pictures and we have a selection of these on the web site. There is a copy of the full set of photos available for the parents of all the Clyde Judo Club Judoka that attended.

Christmas Party – lost property

The club Christmas Party was last night and a great time was had by all (more later!).

Unfortunately, one of the girls managed to lose her jacket and purse. Mhairi Peden has sent this request around by e-mail but just in case you didn’t get it, I’m reposting the request here:

Thanks everyone for coming to our annual Christmas party tonight! It was a great event and everyone seemed to have a ball. In all the excitement after Santa had been, though, a bag has gone missing. Someone has obviously picked one up that contained a jacket and purse by a mistake. Could you please check inside your bag and if there is a girls jacket and purse in it could you contact me. Thanks a lot!

From Mhairi P

It’d be great if you could check and let Mhairi know if you’ve found the items. If you don’t have Mhairi’s contact details then please speak to Susie and she will relay the message.
